1992 Ranger 3.0l Leaking right above lower radiator hose
Hey y'all
Long time lurker, first time poster here. I have more or less always been able to find a solution to my problems here without the need to ask any questions thanks to the mountains of information everyone has provided over the years.
My truck began losing coolant, sort of slowly, then sort of quickly, a few weeks ago. I haven't driven it much sense, and so far all the pol seems free of water and murk. At first I figured it was time to replace the radiator hoses because the overflow at least was dry and cracked. I did do that, and sure enough the lower hose shows signs of wear and needed a replacing. However, as I am refilling the radiator I now see clearly that the water is comign from directly above the lower radiator hose where it connects in front of/above the oil pan. I feel like it must be the timing cover gasket based on what everyone has to say, but I want to be sure I guess. So if anyone has any input I am all ears.
It isn't leaking in the front, so I think it isn't the water pump. It is just above the lower hose connection on the engine, not at the radiator. I do not think it is far enough back to be the plugs as it is happening right behind the pumps.
Any thoughts? I have attached a photo from under the truck, just at the hose connection, and ideally a short video of the water pouring out. Not sure if y'all can view it, again, it's my first post.
Thanks for any advice or direction anyone can provide.
