I have just recently purchased a 1989 ford ranger custom it come factory with a 2.3 auto trans 2wd but has been swapped with a 93 2.3 engine and a manual 2wd trans the wire harness has been mostly hooked up except for the top of the motor as best as I can tell the wiring is fairly cut up and spliced together when turning the key to start position the brake light and checkoil light come on the cluster but no click on anything the motor isn't locked I turned over by hand I tried jumping the solenoid but it just clicks the starter but doesn't spin over trying to figure out what to check and what to do next I work on lots of different vehicles but not very familiar with these Rangers especially with swaps.
