I ordered new brake parts for my ranger. I got the rotors that go on the spindles. As I understood, the 2wd rangers go on spindles and you have to do the bearings too. I just read somewhere that the sport model is actually not on spindles, even if it is 2wd. Is that right? I saw a youtube video where someone did the front brakes. They said their truck was a 2009 sport 2wd. They were on spindles. Now I’m confused.

 

Do you know what your looking at? If you pull the wheels and see Round cap ( Dust cover) then you have a Spindle.

 

Yeah! I got it figured out. I’ve got spindles. I popped a wheel off to be 100 percent sure. There is a lot of mis information out there about different trim levels. Some auto parts websites were for sure showing me the wrong rotors when I put my info in.
