Spindle/Balljoint question
Spindle/Balljoint question
Hey guys. I am having problems with a lift kit i received and now i need to know if im right or not. I got some spindles(guy tells me they are doetsch tec spindles) for my 09 sport (2wd) and the hole where the upper balljoint goes is smaller than mine. Now. The guy says that Edge and Sports have bigger balljoints.??? is that true or is he just trying to find a way out?? I hope im explaining my self ok .. ( im in quebec so my english is a little rusty) . Hope someone can clear this crap up for me ?
Thank you !!

Well the guy asked me if it was a 2wd and such. But if he is in the business of selling lift kits he should know that a 2008-9 is torsion bar if i say a 2wd king cab v6 4.0.... are they diffrent balljoints on 2wd's? that's another question i have.
and are Sports any different than other 2wd models(ext cabs of course)?

The sport and Edge models have the 4wd suspension without the 4wd. So yes, the suspension is different between a 2wd Sport and a regular 2wd. Yours has the torsion bar front end and the regular 2wd trucks have the coil spring front end. So if you said 2wd king cab v6 4.0 then to someone selling suspension parts 2wd is 2wd to them. You need to know which 2wd the parts are for and if they'll match YOUR 2wd. So you probably bought the wrong spindles even though they are 2wd spindles. Sorry man, that's a bummer.
Also, the 2008-9 Rangers came both as a Sport 2wd (with torsion bars) and as a Regular 2wd (with coil springs).
