Multiple GEM & IABM codes just popped up
Got a 1998 Ranger XLT, 2.5L auto, 2WD. Out of the blue, the airbag waring light started flashing 2-4, when I started the truck cold. Forscan saw the following:
P1000 OBD Sys readiness ( I had the battery disconnected for >1hour)
IABM
B1342: ECU internal fault
B1934: Air bag circuit open
GEM
B1323: Door ajar warning lamp circuit failure ( door ajar lamp works just fine, lights when door open, goes out when closed-no erratic operation)
B1398: Left Front Power Window relay circuit failure ( I don't have power windows)
B1428: Ignition switch run/crank relay circuit failure ( truck cranks, runs, shifts just fine)
B1302: Accessory delay relay circuit failure ( everything works, radio lights, cab illumination, ABS, AC, cruise, door chime)
B1352: Ignition key in circuit failure ( i replaced the clock-spring about 4 months ago as the cruise control and horn quit working, all worked fine after repair, little contact in the key slot was replaced with the new wire harness for clock-spring)
Every function on the truck works fine and the air bag lamp still flashes 2-4. tested the circuit to the air bag for continuity and voltage with the bag out. Did not test the bag but the contacts look fine, not bent or corroded. Can I test the air bag out of circuit for resistance or how do you test it? I have gone through 12 start-stop cycles with engine at normal temp. Driven about 20 miles total going through the cycles.
There is no apparent wiring harness issues, all connectors (including GEM Module) are clean and have been reseated. Can anyone give a hint as to what a next step would be or should I plan on making a burned sacrifice of a chevy to appease the spirits?
