Power steering Question
Power steering Question
Hello friends, I’m new to the forum and unfortunately not very mechanically inclined so my question probably seems silly to you guys but here goes. I have a 1994 Ranger XLT 2.3 four cylinder and I’ll be darned if I can find the power steering reservoir to check the fluid level. I swear I have searched under that hood high and low and I just don’t see one. I guess it has power steering. Hard to believe an XLT doesn’t have power steering, even an old ‘94 like mine. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
Don't worry, it's not a stupid question at all 😄 On old Rangers, the engine compartment sometimes looks like Ford hid half of the parts for the Quest on purpose. And honestly, many people spend more time looking for the power steering reservoir the first time than they'd like to admit.
Besides, on old pickups, power steering wasn't impossible either, so your confusion is quite logical. Especially if the car has had several owners and in 30 years everything could have changed there except the body itself 😄
