intake manifold removal.
intake manifold removal.
When i bought the Truck the dealership noted a slight coolent drip from the intake manfiold. How hard is this to replace (remove and such...) it looks pretty straight forward.
its pretty easy ... if you have an EGR it makes it a little harder, but its still pretty simple .... just make sure you remember where all the vacuum lines go for the reinstall. and make sure you know the torque specs for it as well, and the O-rings for the heads, make sure they are in good condition, you might have to replace them if they are cut in any way. a locking extension is good that way you dont loose anything down into the heads..... i think thats all all in all very simple ...

I think its more like...
"its very simple if you have a good place to work and the right tools"
sorry its the OHV motor... how many vac lines are we talking about ?
my 95 pgt with its VRis has ummm almost a dozen vac lines going to the intake along with a fuel rail... and coolent lines to the TB.

just did mine yesterday
NO problem. Goes fairly fast. Im no big mechanic with the basic tools and had no problem. I started out thinking I needed head gaskets and found out it was my intake manifold gasket. Thank god because I couldnt get the exhaust manifold bolts out.
