I jumped on the bandwagon and bought one of the remaining Hillbank/Roush/SLP Thunderbolt exhaust system off Ebay. For $165 you just can't beat the price. I hope I like it.

I was going to get a Borla ProXS muffler and get custom dauls, but $80 for the muffler and $250 for piping I went this route. No one would touch my truck locally for $250, $350 if I wanted stainless piping.

I know alot of you here have this exhaust. How yah liking it so far? Anyone bend the tailpipes so they exit out the sides? I can't decide, out the back or the sides.

Anyway, looking forward to installing the first mod on my truck.

I bought the same one couple of months ago, I installed it the very same week ( tips and everything ) I love the way it sounds, not too loud in the cabin either, you should be happy with it !

 

i just bought this exhaust as well. got it in the mail on mondey.

anyone that has this exhaust on a 4.0 can you put up an exhaust clip?

 

I purchased one a couple months ago and plan on having it installed next month and having it exit out the sides instead of straight back.

 

sounds good, i plan to get one once my present exhaust starts to go south...

 

get a clip up whenever you put it on, before toooo long i want to switch my glasspack out for some other muffler. i got all the piping from when i got the catback with the glasscrap, just need a good muffler to run em too. sounds like u got a good deal either way tho.

yea i bought the borla and my custom pipe kit was only 150 CAD duals come out infront off pass side tire with 2 2.5" chrome tips i love the sound and not to loud in the truck itself, them roush ones i heard were pretty nice too..still love the borla though!

You might have....when a good deal is out and about it's hard not to spread the word.

The stocker can rest peacefully up on the rafters of my garage hopefully for many years.

Oh ok, you get yours yet 05edge? Didn't take me long to get mine and i honestly have no idea how they got it here, since there's no roads to my town.

 

I have had mine on for a little while now and love it......I don't think you will be disappointed......Hell, you can't beat the price!!!

watch it on the driverside.. thats where the gas tank is.. and why noone has dual side exit.

i wanted it that way but i went with dual/oneside exit. but i think the exhaust for the 302 will be dual side exit, cause i think im gona get a fuel cell

 

I know it's a good deal, I'm just hoping it sounds better then my '97 with no muffler and split dauls.

Persoanlly, I thought it sounded kinda cool, had that foreign performance car tone to it.

I pull nothing so I'll leave the tips coming out the back. I'll let you know what I think of it as soon as it's on, might have some pics too. Latter.
