I understand what C-clips are and how they work. But i don't understand what a C-clip eliminator is or how it works ? Whats the advantage ? I heard somebody had a hard time getting a 31-spline into an ECTED so I wonder if a C-clip eliminator is a good idea ?

From the looks of it you cut off part of the exsiting housing. then put the outer housing on the axle, then press the new wheel bearings they supply you with and then it just bolts together and no more c-clips

I was the one who had to grind behind the splines a little to get the axle in far enough to put the c-clip on, on the passenger side of the 31 spline.

It's possible that your axle shafts could have longer splines, or there may be some other reason it's not a problem. I wouldn't worry about it too much either way, Ben.
