I just called camburg and the dude told me they're not gonna be working on the 4wd suspension lift for 01-06's til the end of the year =[ *sigh* I'm ready to buy a suspension lift. The 4"superlift just isn't enough as I'm not body lifting and the rcd kit has alot of negative feedback, ie droopy coilovers.

This sucks, I'm really looking forward to a 4wd camburtg suspension kit.

 

Just keep saving up and you will have enough for new wheels, tires, lift and everything else that you will need afterward.

 

i bet the camburg kit really isnt going to offer lift. it will be a LT kit only. but maybe you knew that.

i will tell you what tho, there are good and bad things about both kits. last weekend i was able to get up and close with both kits and even ride in an RCD lifted truck. honestly i really lie the quality of the RCD bracketry over the Superlift. but i like the fact that the superlift uses the torsion bars and offers just as much lift for a much cheaper price.

 

isnt the superlift 2 inches shorter? aka 3.5 inches(what kyle said his truck rose) compared to 5.5 RCD.

 

Jason's got the 4x4 DBR kit and he's got 33x1250s with glass.

 

All I want is 5"-7" of suspension lift, *sigh*. From the impression I got from the camburg rep it is suppose to be a 5" suspension lift designed for long travel. He also noted it's gonna be pricey.

BTW, I want these torsion bars out from underneath my truck!!! I can't stand looking at the stupid things and their stupid big a$$ brackets and covers under my doors!!!

The 2wd Long travel kit is 7000 bucks.

 

Well you're talking for the over the top crazy outta control kit lol. You can get the complete dual shock 6"lift for $1950, $2400 installed. I'm not looking to spend more than $3000.

 

dont worry about hte height in inches. how about right next to each other. with his 37s and my 35s he is about an inch taller.

 

the 4wd camburg kit will be over the top. im guessing around 5k as the base. they are going to compete with DBR i bet and there kit is around 4k.

 

I've never looked into or heard of DBR...might be worth a look.

No, there are two gen 4 rangers with BL, and one gen 5 ranger with a BL around. I have yet to see any suspension lift on a gen 5 ranger in person.

 

hmm. you need to come to indiana sometime. you could see both, rcd and superlift.

Well, it's not so much a prerunner thing... I think it was the guy from TRS or RPS, one of those, had his Ranger in OFFROAD magazine. You should have seen some of the flex shots!

When you have that much travel, it's almost like having a solid axle, but not as strong (nothing will ever be as strong as a solid axle) but alot stronger than stock or any lesser suspension kit.

Those kits are made for racing, that's why they are so expensive.

 

Ohhhh....someday....just need some helpers.

$6000?!?!?!?! just buy an older ranger w/ TTB and buy a lift for that... or SAS the one you got!

 

Heh, yeah definitely not spending $6k on a suspension lift, no need to worry about that.
