On a 93, you may be able to kill it by interrupting the red/pink from the door switch to the Warning Chime Module.

OR

Add a pushbutton to temporarily turn off the chime with the key in ACC and driver door open:

The second method has not been verified to work on a 93 but it should be adaptable by changing color codes.

On the 1997's the chime box is right behind the radio. So, if you are set up like a 1997 you could just pull the radio out and disconnect the chime for now.

Then, when you have time you can put a cool switch in and take your time doing the chime-mod.

So the pushbutton mod above worked? I want to do the same thing.

If you just want to do a temporary idea for just the car show or something, take a screwdriver in the door lock and push it in as it would be when closed. That's what I do when I work/clean my inside with the keys in. When you're done, just pull the inside door handle and it should reset back to the open position and dinging again. If it doesn't return use the screwdriver again and pry it out. It's easy!

I'm not sure if anyone has done this, or can be done, possibly Bob can figure this out...

Is there a way to stop the door chime while the radio is on and the door open, with the key out? This would allow the radio to stay on with no key and no door chime, UNTIL the door is CLOSED... I'm thinking possibly with the use of multiple relays, this could be done?
