I want black seat belts... paint???

I'm working on two-tone interior for my truck. I've been looking for some black seatbelts on ebay but have not seen any. I'm tired of the tan seatbelts, but I don't want to give up my first born to Ford for belts.
Has anyone / do you think the belts could be painted with sem or duplicolor vinyl spray?

Any other ideas???

I painted mine with the duplicolor fabric and vinyl paint and they came out perfect.

Yeah, I don't see why Duplicolor wouldn't work. I was gonna paint my seats with the stuff till I decided to put buckets in.

Whatever you do.....DO NOT paint or dye your belts. You'll be b*t**ing as us later. Just go to the junk yard or local parts yard. You don't need to spend an arm and a leg.......but just don't paint them.....LOL

My local jy wants as much as Ford does for a new one! I told them it wasn't a bar of gold, just a seatbelt... they told me to go myself. They also wanted a grand for an 8.8 axle.

I don't know what dye or paint does to the fibers in the seat belts but I would be concerned about weakening the seat belts with the chemicals in the dye or paint.

i have black ones in my truck because when i bought seats out of an 03 i didnt realize the seat belt male ends were different sizes... so i went to the junkyard and bought the driver side for $15 (passenger was cut)... my ex-girlfriend bought me the passenger for my birthday last year from the dealership for like $85...

You neeed to find a new JY that is outrageous. I have never heard of prices that high. I got seat belts once for 5 bucks that was for 2 of them. Find a new JY and pull them from there DO NOT DYE THEM.
