BL and Hitch contimplating.........
BL and Hitch contimplating.........
I want to throw on a BL and have 5.5"ish of suspension lift so I would need a drop bar on a hitch to tow my boat (have less than 4"clearence on it now!) and other stuff occasionally.
The problem is I don't want my truck looking like crap with a hitch hanging 3" down!!
I know someone who welds so I was thinking that you could cut the bolt brackets and carefully move and weld 3"s lower bringing the hitch up 3" and not having to weld anything to the truck itself.
Any thoughts, Comments or anyone with some experience on this would be great. Thanks for any help in advance!

I left mine down...i have my exhaust ran in between so if i ever got rear ended or something it wouldnt get smashed...or if i went up a steep hill and my rear end hit, i would rather it be the hitch than my exhaust

Cool just dont want to give the guy the wrong idea of what the lift comes with. Dont wanna get his hopes up.

Two things, I wouldn't hesitate to get the hitch redone/welded, however I know that some people have had luck with actually turning them upside down, and actually looking pretty good, might see if that works anyway.
As far as drop down ball mounts, I have a 6" drop down ball mount that is rated for 600lbs tongue, 6000lbs trailer from my old big truck... I guess your really too far to make shipping worth it, but the definitely sell them.
