Worth it to lower?

I'm thinking about lowering my Ranger but I don't know if it would be worth it. I'd like better handling and looks but just don't know if I should spend about $400 to lower it. It's got 160xxx miles and I plan on keeping it for at least a year. The only thing wrong really is there's a slight oil leak somewhere. Also the transmission whines when in 5th. Other than that there really isn't anything wrong. What do you guys think? Oh, and it'd probably be a 3-4 drop.

no do not lower ur ranger... deff. not worth it... yea it will handle better around turns but when it comes to bumpy roads, rangers feel like go carts!

if done properly, a 3/4 drop on an ibeam ranger will ride like stock, handle, and look much better.

they are the same as the mirrors on the black one in my post. escort GT or mustang vert mirrors.

on the red truck they are in the stock location, and cover the stock holes, jus barely. on the black truck the stockers were shaved and the escort mirrors are placed further forward for looks and functionality.

Yeah, planned of fixin the stuff first. I think eventually I'll lower it, maybe next summer cause I'd have all the time to work on it. I have no idea why the tranny whines in 5th like it does. But yeah, I just wasn't sure if it would be worth it since it has so many miles.
