K&N 63 series aircharger??

Is it ok to put the kn 63 series aircharger on the 07' ranger. if you have it can you send me pics and tell me how it runs. Do i need to put higher grade gas in it or anything, do i have to worry about rain getting into the filter when driving. Very new to this whole thing. Thanks

Yes. It works with any octane...try 91 just for fun. Don't worry about rain...just dont take your truck swimming in a lake...but then again thats just common sense. The filter's are easy to clean. Don't put too much oil on it after you clean it and you'll be fine. You will love it!

just don't go driving fast through big **** puddles w/o a dry charger on the filter. You'll suck water through the intake and your truck will never be the same again. At least, that's what happend to me.

I LOVE my itake system. I was stupid when the problem happend. You'll love it.

Yeah it came real quick and it works fine a few noises here and there but its probly normal or so im being told but it works great and have a lot more acceleration. And as far as the bolt in i don't know what you consider a bolt in because im new to this whole thing but its was so simple to install so......

K&N's web site says the 63-1108 fits the 2010 4.0L V6, but there is no mention of the 2011.
Ford owner manual engine compartment illustrations of the '10 and '11 are identical.
Does anyone know for sure that the 63-1108 fits the 2011?

K&N will not say whether or not the kit fits a 2011. Gal I spoke with says they haven't had a 2011 in their shop to check fitment themselves. So I had my dealership parts department check the part numbers of the intakes of both the '10 and '11, and they match. Ordered the kit on ebay for $246.81. I'll let you know how it goes.

Installed the kit yesterday. It fits OK. Had to struggle a bit to get the upper heat shield bracket attached using an already occupied screw hole. May end up replacing the flimsy valve cover vent hose because it wants to kink. No discernible noise change. "Seat-of-the-pants" horsepower gains are unnoticeable.
