dual exhaust

For all of you with a 3.0 and dual exhaust, what kind of setup are you running? Ive been researching exhaust for my ranger and can't seem to find anything.

What is the best muffler to put on a 3.0 ranger in your opinion. Im thinking of getting a new muffler and want one that is moderately loud and sounds good.

It should but you might run into trouble with the transmission bearing crossmember. On the 96 you have a two piece driveshaft with a cross member. I know on mine I can't get a 2.5" tube to clear it, it has to be 2.25" or you have to kick the tubing down like an inch or so. On the newer ones they have a one piece and I'm going to wait to do anything more to my exhaust before I swap in a new driveshaft.

I have the flowmaster 50 series dual exhaust. it sounds great all the way around. The shop said they could gut out one or two of the cataylic converters to make it sound even more loud but the way it is sounds sweet!

I had a true dual set up on my 93 3.0L. No cats, dual single in/single out Flowmaster 40's, with chrome tips. Loved the way it sounded.

I have a 03 so I have like a bizillion and one cats, so I went straight pipe. I had a flowmaster 40 on good tone, but not loud enough for me because of all the cats.

i took mine and had true dual exhaust not y pipes with flow master 40’s and they made everything custom no cats so my check engine light stays on but it sounds great and it only cost me $300

It will sound deeper dual and it will increase gas milage and performance the only thing is to for a true dual your cats wont fit but they decrease power anyways if you live in a state where you dont have to pass ammisions you shouldn’t have any problem

Dual exhaust

I've a 2011 4.0L and was thinking about dual exhaust for performance but I'm starting to believe it's a bad idea?
