Put my lift on last night!

Well yesterday was the day I installed my superlift. I went to work at 7am, got off at 11am, went to UPS to pick up my JD traction bars and then started the lift at 1pm, Cleaned up at 2am. I didnt have time to put on the rear lift yet but I got the front finished. WOW what a pain in the ****, i had no idea what i was getting myself into lol. It was interesting and a lot of cussing :) Torsion bars are gay to remove and install. The only real problem i had was getting those damn 4x4 differential bracket bolts off, I dropped the whole diff/axle assy just so i could even attempt to get them off. The best tool ever so far was the BOLT OUT kit craftsman makes, saved me from numerous stripped bolts. ugh. The SL driveshaft was easy to install for the most part, just hard to get a decent allen wrench in there to torque those down.

The LCA drop brackets can pretty much only go on one way, if its flipped or anything, it wont bolt up right. There is a 50/50 chance of getting them installed wrong and of course i installed them wrong the first time. Go figure!

I really wish i would have gotten new UCA's but i guess ill have to do those later when i decide to do the Coil over swap so i can get rid of those horrid torrsion bars.

Everything else was pretty much a breeze, Just swapping out parts was pretty much it and no other bolts caused me problems. Air tools was a must for this job, i dont know how some of you attempted this without them?

Ill have pics up soon as im taking a day off from working on the rear lift for my truck cuz my hands hurt and im tired! So tomorrow im hoping to be completely finished :)

This is what im currently making so i can reconnect my sway bar. This is a 5/8in threaded bar from top to bottom and the black bar is going to be used as a mid section between the LCA and swaybar. Bushings not shown.

an hour my *** hahahah... dude my rear sucked so much *****, you have no idea the trouble i went through. The bolts for the shackles werent no picnic to take out. I had to cut my exhaust tip off on the drivers side cuz i couldnt add the shackle or bolt it up with the add a leaf... once i cut it i had enough clearance to bolt everything back up. But pics are on my next post, Give me a second! :)

PS: I ran out of time so i could only do one side in the rear, I have a lop sided rear end..... Ill finish the other side later this week ugh.. what a day

I could probably get about an inch more out of this lift if i drop my leafs down one more on the shackle and I crank my torsion bars, but ill wait to do that when i do my body lift and get 35's. I dont want my 32's to look tooo tooo small as it sits!
