rc 4" lift
rc 4" lift
i want to put my rought country 4" lift on my truck soon, is it completely needed to get extended brake lines right away? also are the stock camber bushings able to adjust for the difference or close? i have got almost everything on order but i have time this weekend to put the lift on.
Be careful with the Rough Country lifts. Their bracket holes do NOT line up to the stock holes worth a darn.
You should get new extended brake lines. They only cost $95 shipped for both front lines and the single rear line from www.jamesduff.com .
If you alignment is good now, it will be really close after the lift. Any alignment shop as the parts to make your alignment correct.

thanks.
Installing the lift on my BII took me about 3 days of solid work. I got lucky and the bolts came off easy. The rivets were kinda a pain. Yours will be a tad easier because the radius arms are dropped. My extended radius arm brackets were a PITA (but will turn out to be worth it!).

yea i looked at the bolts and already started spraying them with pb blaster, they look like brand new anyway, i remember my 96 bronco, everything was rusted and had to be torched off, every bolt to do the lift and i had to torch the gas tank skid plate bolts off to do the fuel pump, that was a lot of fun.
i heard the rc lift used to damage the dana 35 but now they come with extended bump stop brackets to stop the drop brackets from coming in contact with the housing, did you hear of that? i have the new bump stop brackets so i hope that is the only problem
Yes I have heard/seen that. The drop plate that is used for the passanger beam isn't designed to clear the Dana 35. It will clear a Dana 28 with no problem.
My lift has the drop plate. When I upgrade to the Dana 35 this summer, I am going to get new drop brackets and install them also.
