99 question

99 question

i just bought a 99(first car) xlt extended cab but where all the gauges and spedometer is theres not one for rpms next to the spedometer is that normal?

Oh yes, even if you've got a manual.. I'm not sure why there ISNT one.. considering sometimes it is nice to know the limits.. my '88 never had one.. and I was sorly tempted to just get an aftermarket one and stick it in there somewhere.

Yeah, no worries. My 99' does not have one and it is even a 5 speed.

I think it was an option to have one wasnt it? I know I have one and I am glad I do.

You can swap your gauge cluster out for one that has a tach.

Mine was the same way without the tach. I just got a cluster unit out of a SportTrac with the white face gauges and tach and swapped it into mine. Everything plugs in the same and you can get one for like 30 or so from a junkyard.

Ya, mine doesn't have one either. I got a 99 5 speed. If you swap one in though, won't it mess up the miles?
