Wow, I wish I could trade my truck for an 08 250 and not have 400 dollar a month payments!

here they're offering 2008 f 150's (supercab, v8 4x4) with $5000 cash back, $2000 customer loyalty, and a "morries ford" discount of $2,500. the starting cost is $28,900. after all the rebates:
$19,400.

 

^^ sounds like my moms truck she got over $10,000 in rebates on her new 2008 f-150 and then add in A-plan

 

Yeah they are hurting, The local dealer in my home town (well where I went to high school) closed there doors the other day. Doesn't help that the owner was embezzling, but no one wanted to buy it and keep it open since it was losing so much money anyway.

with the current state of the economy and gas prices all the local lots here are FULL of full sized trucks/suvs they cannot give away. ive been getting letters almost weekly from the dealer i bought mine from about "special trade in deals!!!!" along with the others locally. ive also noticed a ton more for sale in the sunday paper, people are trading in for small cars and the dealers are getting stuck with the trucks/suvs. friend picked up a gmc burb with really nice aftermarket rims last week for 4k, they simply could not afford to fill the tank anymore.
i think a week or two longer and the dealers will be waiting at the red lights to bombard you with special offers

 

I was talking to the Owner of the Ford dealership today and he said there practically giving truck away. But also being very close to the Canadain Border that really helps in getting rid of a few used vehicles. I know my grandpa is very tempted on buying an '08 F150 with all the rebates, but hes holding out for an '09.

 

Last time they had the employee pricing or whatever its called is when my dad bought his King Ranch 150, sticker on it was like $41k and he got it for $28k.

 

Well hell if It wasn't for the fact I'm getting my truck to where I wanted it all along I would consider trading for an f150. Oh well lol.

 

I sure as heck wouldnt mind jumping into an F150 v8 FX4 with all the fun options... would be willing to trade my own truck in for one.. but gas woudl kill

 

actually, I believe F150's get the same gas mileage as our rangers. Just the big 35 gallon tank would suck.

Last time they offered employee pricing to the public was in late summer 05. If they have it again.. maybe ill trade my ranger in on a new ranger.... with 4 doors....
