Where to buy CB antenna kit?

I am wanting a 4ft Firestick Cb antenna that comes with the coax cable. I know they come in kits and wanted to see if you guys know of a good place to buy them.

Post the links if you can.

Thanks

Look for a local cb shop then you won't have to pay shipping.

Local CB shops FTW! Firestik2 ftw.

Where are you mounting the antenna? What about the antenna stud? That depends on what coax end you should get.

I've used Walcottcb.com and good site to use if you want to get it online. If you want it same day then a local shop would be the best of course.

I am not sure I am getting what you mean my antenna stud. What is that?

I was thinking about getting Alon's mount. Since you have a tool box how did you mount yours?

The stud is what the antenna threads into, and the coax attaches to. I've ran a single antenna on the box, i've ran duals on the box, and now the best setup by far is the Super Duty hood mount. Notice how my toolbox stud is a thread on for the coax, and my hood mount is a crimp on for the coax. If you get a hood mount, DO NOT use the ground bolt that they give you....gives a weak ground for the antenna. Antenna mounted to a toolbox is aweful if you want any good performance out of your radio. It's fine for BS'in with your friends on the trail or drivin' around town bs'n...but if you want distance...toolbox mount is NOT a good way to go. If you go with the alon mount, i'd do the crimp on style stud...more compact. And be sure to wire wheel the paint off of the mount and the bed...gotta have a good ground.

btw....i just mock mounted my toolbox antenna for the pics i just took.....

toolbox mount uses a mirror mount.

I went to a local trucker stop and picked up my CB stuff. I bought an Original 3ft Firestik, The Firestik heavy duty SO-239 stud mount, and then 12ft of Diesel brand coax cable.

I think I am going to use Alon's mount.

Shane, will that be an good set up?

I read this off Firestiks website.

It says that any antenna shorter then 4ft that is mounted DIRECTLY behind (stake hole) the cab of the truck will suffer loss in performance.

I was looking at Alon's mount and the idea of "knocking" the rear tail light kinda turns me off of it.

Since the tool box is not directly behind the cab and will a 3ft antenna will I be ok?

Just get a Wilson magnet mount.

I have a Wilson 5000 and I love it, but I'm also pushing power.

You should be fine with a little will, 500 or 1000, the little will is about $35, the 500 is 50$ish and the 1000 is 70$.

They are all great antennas.
