Will the computer from a '94 3.0 work on a '93 4.0?

I bought a '94 4wd in mint condition for $400 but the 3.0 is fried, I have 2 '93 4.0's though and can I use the 3.0 computer or do I have to get one specifically for the 4.0? The 4.0's are both pushrod motors.....

I couldn't find this answer specifically with a search.....

 

you can not run a 3.0L computer on a 4.0L or a 4.0L computer on a 3.0L.. now you could swap the whole motor and computer

 

i guess I will find another 4.0 computer for a '93 or '94.....
