Icon5 I'm about to change my differential fluid but I got another question?

I bought limited slip additive b/c I read that you should add that to the gear oil. I don't know if I have limited slip gears. should I still add it to it?
thanks in advance!

Get under the truck, look at the differential and there should be a metal tag hanging off of one of the bolts. Read it and let us know what it says on it and it will tell you if you have a LS.

Unless someone before you but a LS in, you don't have an LS.

Your axle is an 8.8 with 3.73:1 gears, and an open diff.

If you had limited slip there would be a tag on the opposite side saying Synthetic oil only

when you put the diff cover back on fill it up until it starts to flow back out of the filler hole. after that put the bolt back in and you're good to go.
