Icon8 Dome light re-install problem

I did the OHC mod today and the only problem I had was removing the dome light lens(didn't break anything)but now it wont go back on right. If your looking at the lens from the back of the cab there is a piece of plastic that goes into the roof on the right side but nothing on the left. The right side is fitting fine but the left side is loose and I see nothing for it to fasten too. Anyone know what the left side of the lens is supposed to fasten too?

Here are some pics...It looks like it fits right but since the left side is so loose you could hit a bump and it would fall. It comes off REAL EASY now.

i dont think the chrome peace is suppose to come off attached to the lens. try taking the chrome peace out of the lense and reattaching them seperatly.

The chrome part should be attached to the headliner

Yeah I had a buddy figure that one out for me. I soldered the chrome piece back on and it fits right now. I did not know that the chrome part was supposed to stay on cause it and the lens came off in one piece.

I would be willing to bet you broke the little tabs that make it snap in place. I broke mine when I was doing my OHC. You should get a Explorer or Mustang dome light.
