MPG... whats everyone getting?

I calculated my MPG... and got around 15.1 MPG. Im trying to see if that sounds right with my set up...

I calculated my MPG from half a tank... 8 gallons and got 121 miles for a half a tank then divided it by the number of gallons I put in for half a tank. Is that the right way to do it?

Well that last time I drove it (about a year ago), I'd guess around 20 city, 22 highway . . . my 5.0 Mustang got noticeably better fuel economy, and was twice and fast and fun

I've been getting about 20mpg lately. Last tank was 320 Miles and 15.2 gallons, so about 21 mpg

I get around 25+ on the highway.

But you should have really put this thread under the 3.0L section given mileage is dependent on motor and wheels and gears and stuff...

I have a 2.3 engine with automatic, I recently have gotten between 17.5-18.5 mpg with city driving. It really depends on how much freeway driving I do, as I get way better mileage with freeway driving. One time I got 31 mpg all freeway driving. Last fillup I had some city driving and some highway and ended up getting 22.5 mpg for the average.

I'm a 4.0L, 5spd manual, double lifted on 35's and geared to 4.88.....in townish, i'm getting approxx 16.5-17. On the freeways(at speeds above 70), i'm getting approx 16-19. Average all around is about 15-17.

At 60mph, i'm getting about 21mpgs....

I have 2.5L manual with 31's and 3.73 gears. When on the highway (going about 75), I get only 18-20. City I get something awesome like 24 or something.

how do you get that kinda mileage? I have the 4.0 sohc with 5spd auto, and 4.10's lifted at total of 3 inches over stock and 32in tires and I get 14 city. I stay off the gas and the truck has recently been tuned up, seafoamed, full synthetic oil, new fuel filter, always run fuel injector cleaner, and tires at proper psi. I am stumped!

Well the only thing out of the norm that I do is usually taking about 1/2 mile or less to get to 60 mph. I also drive a 120 mile round trip every other day. I'd say 70% highway and 30% city/country roads. I don't run any injector cleaner, use Motorcraft synthetic blend oil and Motorcraft filters, synthetics in the diffy's and trans and run the tires at 40 psi. Truck has never been "tuned" up and gets whatever brand low octane fuel.

I average about 10-11.5 mpg city and like 12.5-13.5 mpg highway. It blows. I have a 4.0 sohc, auto, 4.10's and 265's. Some days i just want the truck to catch on fire and collect the insurance.

I get about 19mpg. I can go a week with out filling back and forth to work. Mixed driving. When my installer (08 F250 PSD 6.4 6sp) and I get into it deep, I drop to about 15mpg. (1/4 mile to mile jaunts at 80mph+)

I am happy with it. I didn't buy it for mileage, thats why I had a 3cyl Chevy Metro 5sp, 52mpg FTW!
