I know you can't get the manual transfer case on the new Rangers but do the new FX4 models use the plain black shifter or the same style that the 02/03 FX4's had instead if I get a 5 speed?

 

same style as all the other L2 trucks...chrome ball and leather boot with a special ball.

Very cool. Thanks for the quick reply I'm going to look at one Tuesday but it's about 100 miles away and I don't want another Ranger unless it has that shifter. I'm going to feel real bad when I have to start cutting the floor apart to put a manual transfer case in. Ugh.

Yea man..no problem. I needed to cruise through Cardomain anyway. It's literally been like 6 months. lol.

You know, for about $350 you can order up that shifter from ford. No need to buy a new truck. lol.

 

Well I'm not driving the Ranger listed in my sig anymore. It got into a minor disagreement with a telephone pole(should've got 4x4 but just had to have the slick lower valance and b-series tails). I'm sick of my car though. Couldn't go anywhere this winter during the snow and it drove me nuts.

Yep! Time to get an Fx4. I'm bored and can't get to sleep...so I searched the entire list of Ohio craigslists for an 02-03 Twin stick truck(in case you decided against a new one). None to be found.

 

Yeah I've been looking for a few weeks now with no luck on something used. There are very very few FX4 and Sport models at most of the dealerships in my area too so I'm having a bit of a hard time finding what I want. Oh well, the search continues.
