rear aluminum drive shaft on craigslist

i was surfing craigslist yesterday and saw this i dont know if he still has it or not but figured somebody might want it.

RANGER ALUMINUM DRIVESHAFT

this might sound dumb but why whats the difference between a aluminum one and your stock shaft lol weight?

I got a alum. one for my 97. Everyone said it would fit no problem. Got it home and it was 3 inches to short. I wish it would of worked, my custom one is rusting already.

Ford swapped it out to an Aluminum one to fix some sort of clunking issue and a jerking issue when you went from a stop to a start or some crap like that.... not sure what the official status is on it now - but supposedly the aluminum one fixed the issue so they started using it in certain trucks

I believe I have that "clunking" when I go from stop to start with the aluminum driveshaft, anyone know anything?
