It LOOKS like the right style for 99~2000 type-B PATS. Hopefully, the seller knows what he's talking about. Personally, I would buy a $20~25 FORD or Ford-approved key from a Ford dealer instead of taking a chance on what is probably an aftermarket key for $17 shipped.
That key looks like it SHOULD work, no guarantees. I did the same thing right after I got my truck. The only difference is when I bought it, it only had one key, so I made sure the dealer provided a second at no charge. It shouldn't even cost $10 for a locksmith to cut the key for you and if you have two keys already you can program it yourself. If you only have the one key, then it gets more expensive. Also, some aftermarket places are good for keys. The ones I use and trust are a brand called Strattec. Use either Strattec or Ford original blanks. Strattec's part number for your blank is: H72PT, hope this helps.

Honestly doesn't look like you're saving any money... just losing time. It's uncut so you still have to pay someone to cut it. If you only have on key you still have to pay someone to program it... I got all that done at the dealership for like $75 or something like that... just do it all at Ford.

Went to the Ford Dealership today and got 2 keys for $20. and they said it would cost me $40 to have them program it so I booked a spot for monday. I forgot to ask if I need to get them cut before hand should I get them cut before i bring them in?
I would do whichever's cheapest... you might be able to talk 'em into cutting them since you bought the keys there (ie: home depot cuts the keys for no extra charge). But if they are going to charge you to cut 'em I'd just do it at a local locksmith if it's cheaper.
I missed the part where he said he lost one.
Sucks man. I lost the only key I got with my truck when I bought it and I had to have it towed to the dealer and have keys made. I forgot what they charged me be I remember it wasn't a small number.

Thanks for the help guys!
That is a good deal. When I had to get a second one for my truck it was about $175 to get one key cut and programmed. If they are going to charge you an arm and a leg to cut them, go to a locksmith and they should be able to do it for somewhere around $10 for a code cut key. Heck, if they duplicate it, my shop only charges $2.50 to cut a duplicate key.
I got one done at the dealer for $56 + tax. That included the programming. Locksmith wanted $46 + tax, but I figured if there were any problems the dealer would be able to handle it. Purchased another key, had it cut and programmed it myself. Its a good idea to have a non-PATS key made so that if you lock your keys inside you can at least open the door. Its also great to listen to the radio or other accessories but no one can steal it if you leave it unattended.
