A few quetions regarding tune-up

Ya'll i klnow the story behind truck (well most do) i got it with 26,400 miles on it in September 08'. i have put a crap load of miles on it as i am at 43k miles now! ill def put 20k miles on it after i own it a year seeing as i only lack 3000 miles.... This is my first "newish" vehicle! Im the type of guy that says if its not broke, dont fix it.... however bing that it only has 43k miles on it, what kinda tune-up stuff should i do or look for other than oil, filter and air filter change?

It runs perfect, but when do i change spark plugs and stuff like that? The drive belt is fine, engine is clean and everything, plug wires still look great! i mean my truck looks brand new when i clean it up including engine.....

so should i just wait till things like plugs start to show wear, or should i replace them in the near future?

i guess the best thing to do is to follow the maintanance shedule in the manual....???

spark plugs they call of every 100k, but i change mine ever 30k. Also tranny fluid is called to be changed every 30k, so id get that changed.

Coolant is at 100k too, but i wouldnt wait that long. Id change it around 50-60k

I would replace the plugs at 50k. I waited until 75k to do mine on the Ranger and the gap was absolutely terrible on them.

I think their is a little booklet that comes with our Trucks that has recommended tune-ups at certain mileages. At least mine did.

thanks guys, i guess at 50k, ill change the fuel filter, spark plugs, air filter, tranny oil (change or fill?), and coolant
