Screamin' Demon Coil Pack

I have 66K on my truck and have been thinking about getting new plugs and wires for it. I have started researching the Screamin Demon. What do you guys think about the Screamin Demon? Is it worth the money? If so what kind of plugs and wires should I get along with it?

I've heard the gains aren't really noticeable. I would only get one if you needed a new coil pack anyway. I ran Motorcraft plugs and the wires from Underdog and they worked great

I'm running motorcraft plugs and wires. I agree with Trent if you don't need a new coil why spend the money to get a Screamin Demon. The money you would've spent on that just buy something else for your truck.

True... I just figured if the gains were noticeable enough it would be worth buying one. I can not find Motorcraft plugs or wires on the underdog website.

I got the screamin deamon and the wires from underdog, then got autolite double platinums for plugs. good stuff. can't say i really notice a difference though. just figured since it wasn't all that much to spend i'd just go for it.

dittos on the coil pack. Get Motorcraft plugs. The engine was designed to run on them. Summit has the plugs for like 4 bux. I pd 5-6bux at the dealer.

I have the SD, UD wires, and Motorcraft thin-wire plats...It is a great setup. The only reason I really noticed anything was because 1: my original plugs had like prolly 80K on them, and had about that much gap, and 2: I desnorkled my airbox at the same time, so it sounded different.

It is a quality coil, I'd say worth the money. Get Wayne's wires and some Motorcraft plugs, and you'll be set with a good, reliable, consistent setup. Just make sure to gap the plugs at .060 or .065 to get the most out of the hotter coil.

I have had good luck with aftermarket coils. I had the MSD packs for my thunderbird with copper plugs gapped at .065 and it made that car. WOT didnt make ANY difference but if your a grandma driver like me and only go half throttle it DOES make a difference. Gas MPG never went up. So, if you want a eye opener buy a bottle or a blower but the screamin demon coil pack will make your truck run better (maybe 10-15HP at certain throttle positions) I wouldnt go huntin down John Force and race the guy though just because you have a new coil pack! LOL

i doubt 10 hp, you'll see a little gain, but prolly just from fresh plugs and wires.

Def gap your plugs at .060 or .065, or you loose the benefit of the hotter coil.

I gapped my plugs to .070 with NGK Iridium Plugs. I felt a difference, a bit more throttle response. Less Groggy
