timing cover removal 4.0 ohv

anyone done it? difficult? need to replace and/ or clean mine... been leaking coolant there since i bought the truck, just never got around to fixing it yet, thanks

well better late than never i looked up a timing cover gasket replace on alldata for my 97 4x4 it said to pull the engine yeah i thought the same thing sounds crazy i havent done mine yet but sure i will have to hoist up the motor to drop the oil pan enough to pull the timing cover ,,, but the cover shouldnt be to difficult ,,, mine leaks oil GL

If you are leaking coolant just do the water pump gasket. The timing cover is behind that.
If you need to change the timing cover pull the fan than the radiator than all the pullies than the harmonic balance . The bottom of the cover goes around the crank shaft.
