TOWING ?????
i throw my quad in the back of mine all the time...i can defiantly tell its there tho...but u can feel the power loos with 3 people in the truck lol....but any way my quad is a Yamaha warrior and it is like as heavy as 2 normal quads...lol. but u can defiantly tow 2 quads.
dude i got the same engine, and i have towed 4 atvs 150 miles to mudfest and back, i have towed a full size blazer 30 miles on a tri-axle trailer, and my dad's boat which is 22 ft, about 5000 lbs, plus i am lifted wiht 33's, so go head and tow away
my current ranger, has the 4.0, and i have yet to find something i cant pull...
With my bed full and my trailer full i towed almost the full 8000# GCVWR. It handled it though it likes pulling less. I had the truck weighing about 4500 and the trailer weighing about 3300# or so. It may have been a little over because i had gotten rid of some stuff at the point I weighed it.
It never complained or came remotely close to overheating in thousands of miles. I did have a tranny cooler though. Now I usually tow about 6000 GCVW. The trailer at about 2000- 2200# and the truck 3500- 4000#. That is comfortable though you do know you are towing.
