Scangauge II compatibility question

Yes, I have searched but only found stuff for 98 trucks. I have a 99 i know it is the same gen as the 98 but some things were changed on the 99s from the 98.

I know that on 98's don't have the MPG or speed functions working accurately or at all with the scangauge but will my truck be the same or different at all?
Also, will the trans temp feature offered with the new "Xgauge" version work on my truck? I heard it might not.

Thanks
