Hey all,

I have a 98 Ranger standard cab w/ 60/40 split bench seat. I found a local person selling a 60/40 bench seat out of an 04 Ranger. Will these seats fit in my 98?

Any help is appreciated.

as long as it is a reg cab. if it's an ext cab, no deal.

 

Ok so now I am a little confused. The seller of the seats say that they bought it from a guy with an extended cab but they had a 98 std cab truck and it fit fine for them. Can anyone give me insight on this and/or is the seller just bs'ing me trying to sell me parts that don't fit?

 

ext cabs and reg cabs have always used different length tracks. 97 and older are simple to swap, just unbolt and swap. 98+ integrated the tracks into the rest of the recline mechanism. 98+ seats will not swap between cabs. the tracks do not come off without cutting and modifications.

 

update- so i went over to look at the seats and did not end up buying them because the seats did not recline back and the bench did not have a folding console. when i was looking at the pics it looked like there was one but really it was just there for show.
