Icon7 08 ranger xlt different but the same

hi guys,

i've been reading these forums for some time now and have been very entertained and informed by most of the posts. i am South African and have been engaged to an American for over a year now so we have been spending lots of time in both countries...i find it very interesting that our countries sell same name cars that look very different. this is my South African ranger xlt little different but still built ford tough...when in the states we drive a jeep liberty. tell me what you think

p.s sorry about the quality, taken with my phone

Why haven't you brought that back into the states with you? I'd love to see it being I live about 2.5 hours from Akron. Nice truck doesn't even begin to describe it. Ford still confuses me because they offer a truck that would do well in our country everywhere but here.

I was thinkin' the same thing...looks just like my dad's truck. Factory I would love to see some interior shots to see how much our two trucks differ in that department.

probly a 2.5l Duratorq TDCi diesel.

I HATE Ford for not offering this thing in the US. No wonder theyre a failing company... theyre freaking stupid! That thing would compete with the Tacoma for sure. i dont get it... /rant

To the original poster, nice truck by the way.

actually it is a 3.0 tdci duratorq motor. i use it for work as well so the diesel was a better option... more expensive than the 4.0l gas version but much better torque at much lower rpm, it actually produces 95% of it's torque at 1800rpm.

here is a pic of the rear end...

and the side with the doors open...

and a vid of the interior...

Nice truck, I wish they would make our Rangers bigger like that. All of the competition has a medium sized truck but Ford, with the exception of the Sport Trac which is just an Exploer with the back end chopped off.
But Really nice truck!

the sport trac front end looks very similar to our rangers. if you think our rangers look different you got to see our ford focuses

Thanks for the shots of the interior...whats that big ol box in the back for? Did it come with it when you bought it or did you pick that up afterwords? Even the interior is Frontier-ish, but I like the frontier, so IMO looks good!

there are two utility boxes in the back...it is a standard feature, you can decide if you want seats or boxes. i chose boxes because of expensive electronics that i need to carry with me as they are lockable as well
