1/2 ton Dodge Rock Crawler

This is just one of the rigs my bossman has built. They started on it in December of 2007 and completed it just this week. Rockwells locked front and rear, front leaf springs, coils in the rear, full hydrolic steering, powered by a Dodge 360. There is a build-up thread on Pirate 4x4, heres the link...

Its a LG VX8500. Yeah, beadlocks are custom.

i guess i don't understand why you would run leafs in the front and coils in the rear......

looks good none the less....

Coolio! Good to finally see pictures of what you have been telling me about. What year truck is it? 70's? My best friend use to have a beautiful '74 Ram and it looks like the same cab frame.

looks good none the less....
Its actually very common. It keeps the truck very stable because the leafs are generally stiffer then the coils.

looks good, if i lived where to crawl rocks mine would look like that, just with a tad more sheet metal
