3rd Blinker Mod?
No not yet. Ill put one up either tomorrow night or saturday night. If you dont see one PM and keep complaining until I do it.
Its super easy, just run a wire from the blinker up front to the third break light and get a extra bulb socket and wire it up. I'm gonna do this once I get 2 more bulb sockets. I want to put a flasher in the third break light so when I'm breaking it will flash like the Explorers do, I just haven't done it yet.
I have a superbadass wide LED board that I'm goin to put in mine. After I do that I'm going to start making them to sell like I do my L1224R Conversions - its the only 3rd that can keep up with my L1224R's.
well in 2004 ford got lazy and did away with the dual colored lens (brake/cargo) and went with the single red colored lens. When they did that they left the spots for the bulbs in there. You just need to find extra sockets and wire them up.
Thanks for the thread jack, you contributed nothing. Go back to your rice forums and fondle yourself to the thought of blinding other drivers with your HIDs

I know you can buy one of those relay type delas that makes them blink pretty fast, but I think if you do this why not throw some LED's in there, they can flash a heck of alot faster w/o blowing...
I need to do this
Pretty happy with it. I got two of the same sockets and squeezed some of the same size bulbs in there. I think 221? or something. Little tight fit, but they work just fine. It's a lot brighter, helps out with the niteshade as well that is on the lense. Took all of 5mins or so, just running tap-splices..nothing fancy and will do the job in a low vibration/dry area like that.
ah thats true I don't really have to run any wires thru the cab, just splice into the juice wire and ground... :-D Mike I think I know what I'll be doing over the weekend!
- just one problem the dremel I have is kinda a PITA it only goes really fast which makes it hard to do any socket holes... :-(

when i first got my ranger.....i was tryin to steal my moms case from the brake light(she has a sport trac..and its red and white on the outside...) but then i saw it had 3 lights...and mine only one....
so i just go buy the same bulbs as the sport trac?? or any bulb would do it? (assumin its a 12v)

if you want the white cargo lights find a ranger 03 or older and pull the whole 3rd brake light. Then wire the out side bulbs to the dome light and your done.
lol did you have to unlock the doors?
