Anyone else tinted their tail lights?

Anyone else done this mod? Did it today and aren't sure how I feel about them yet.

I tinted my tails back when I first got the truck 5 years ago, but they have since faded away back to pretty much stock.

I have been thinking about it. actually for my F 150 (It's gray, Ranger is white) I can't seem to find a set of tinted aftermarket I like. Some of the tinted LED's do not look good at all. What did you use ? (film or paint ?) I do like the back up clear like that, I back up in the dark on a regular bases.

VHT Nightshade. Comes in a spray can and you can get it at most auto parts stores.

I did mine as well. I grew tired of it though and got a different set of tails.

I PREFER to use the tint film.. like tinting windows. If you don't like it you peel it off. Also doesn't permanently ruin the light. It also comes in colors so you can change an orange section red then tint the whole thing dark

I tried this method first but didn't work with my taillights because I all the grooves.

No matter how light a coat anyone puts on, you're reducing visibility. Take it from someone who drives for a living. Dont do it. Its hazardous to you and others and unless you use a spray gun, it'll look like ****. You have 06+ tails, search for 99offroadrngr's taillight mod. His post is the third one in this thread.

Same here. I put 4 coats on mine and within 2 years it faded and then I put 3 coats on them and their faded back to stock now. I'm just gonna leave mine stock now as tinting them is dumb as what morris said. No reason to give someone an excuse to rear end you.
