He meant a 9" Ford rear differential.

Sweet truck! Do they offer the Mazda B-series there with a diesel?

Yeah, a Ford 9" rear end.

Do those come with 'em, or did Ford use a similar housing on a smaller ring gear?

I'm not the only one that thinks that looks just like a 9" am I?

Hmm, well when you find out, I'd love to know, because if it comes with a 9" stock, that makes that thing even sweeter.

It looks just like a Ford 9" rear to me.

Maybe not as beefy, but that picture is of a built 9".

Well, generally, I can tell by the housing.

This housing looks like a 9".

I'm not gonna say I know for sure, because I know nothing of the overseas Rangers or B series.

Maybe someone can chime in who does.

I doubt it's a 9". There is an infinite number of light duty rear axles that "look" like the Ford 9". Samurai and Toyota axles for example.

the easiest thing to spot a 9 inch is how it bolts into the housing on a 9" it bolts to the front, on others it has a differential cover on the rear to access the insides.

Yes, but the Ford 9" is not the only diff with a 3rd member carrier assembly. As previously stated, Yota and Suzuki axles also utilize the same carrier design and could be mistaken for one.

I'm guessing danhoe's truck has a Mazda specific (like a B2200) or over-sea's Ford designed axle.

As far as the axles go I am pretty sure the Central/South American Rangers come with D44s. The guy who is SASing his Ranger in Puerto Rico or wherever has a rear D44.
