Bodylift install pics

Finally had a full day plus tomorrow till 3 off work so I got at it with the bodylift. Had a bit of help from friends to move the bed around and check the engine bay but besides that I was alone. NEVER DO A BL ALONE!!! OMG sooo long! Especially when it's your first one...

This is how she sat before

During the tear down, 10am

Decided to bedline the frame and underside of the bed as it was pretty much all undone. Also took the tails I got from Lazler off and put the stockers back in. They don't match my color combo at all

Then started helping my roomate out to put his flowmaster on, screwed around a bit and next thing you know it's 6pm, gotta love unhooking wires when the sun is about to go down...

Don't have pics of how she sits now, at 4:30am, because I got really pissed off and only have a cell phone. But here it goes, also alone at this point...

11PM - Cab is lifted, now time to hook everything up.

11:15PM - Notice that my rad is jammed at the pass lower mount.

11:30PM - Only way to unjam it is by dropping the truck.

12:15AM - All 3" blocks are out. Cab is back to stock. Rad is free. Bring it back up.

12:45AM - Cab is lifted... again. Start tightening the bolts.. ALL inside cab make the bushing spin with about 1/2" left to go, stupid locktite, yes, I torched them don't worry

1:15AM - WTF, my steering extension doesnt fit... Not long enough...

1:30AM - After a quick search online, I decide to bring the cab back to stock and deal with it at another time.

2:15AM - Cab is back to stock.... again.... with the exeption of the driver rear, bushing won't stop being gay, so I leave it for now. My arms are sore, back is sore, I'm cold as hell and getting tired.

2:20AM - Go to install steering back together, well would you look at that! I can extend it by just pulling on the bastard!

3:10AM - Yup, cab is lifted again. Now trying to find a way to jam the bushing so it doesnt spin, having someone to hold it would help here.

3:30AM - Nothing is working, f*ck it.

4:00AM - Just finished about 4 smokes, wishing it would finish itself, decide to call it a night and hook everything up tomorrow..

4:30AM - Finally relaxing inside.

4:31AM - Here I am, posting away instead of sleeping. Trying to multitask uploading pics, copy/pasting IMG tags and writing all of this.

4:48AM - Goodnight

Looks good so far. Hope you didn't have any issues with your landlord! Mine would have **** if I did that when I lived in London!

Haha! I did the same thing with the radiator, that sucked. It goes much faster the second time your lifting it though lol. I had the same problem with the bushing, ended up just cutting the bolt head off lol

What do you mean cutting the bolt head off? I was thinking of drilling out the bushing, and putting a nut like the front ones.

Finally go the steering extension on, now just trying to get the rad done.

Oh I thought you were talking about the front bushing. Try more heat on the cab bolts, I didn't have a problem with them spinning.

I've got heat, but the bushings are melting on the sides. Nothing big just little bubbles here and there.

Got everything done but the trans cooler, need to find self taping bolts, tighten down the cab bolts, and adjust the bumpers/hitch + gap guards.

No we both lost haha

Making new thread as well but I need help.

Truck wont start, it cranks, but wont start. I unhook the clips that hold the auto gear selector, so it has alot of slack. I'm sure I got all the grounds I unhooked (did they have to be exactly how they were before cause I turned some around for better reach. Do you guys know anything that could have happened, I work in 1h so I need this bad boy to run!
