Speaking of VTEC. My good friend Eli, big into imports and so forth, but claims to be a major Ford fan... used to work for a local Mustang performance shop before they laid him off. Anyhow, he had an 04 F-150 last year. It was nice, I told him he couldn't afford it, he didn't believe me and ended up giving it back to the bank... now driving a 94 Accord and he hates it... needed a family friendly car for cheap.

Anyway, he insisted his F-150 had VTEC. I told him VTEC was a HONDA thing, not a Ford and to never insult a Ford that way. His argument, the Ford had a valve timing program in it... which those with the F150's know it's the VVT, the Variable Valve Timing. I told him while it was essentially the same thing, it wasn't VTEC...

... to this day he still argues it with me.
