wow, that's almost exactly what I'm doing. I'm converting my '99 XLT front end to an '03 Edge front end, and I'd like to get some sort of tube bumper/ skid plate combo, but I ran out of money. Except I bought the argent bar grille, and It doesn't line up right with the powerdome hood, so I need the mesh grille, but I know what you mean about spending money. and I still have to paint my hood.

i was suprised the honeycomb grill lined up well with the 2000 hood

 

IMO, the prerunner front ends are getting old.

But still your truck looks good.

It turns out the 'argent bar' grille is the 2wd grille, says some Ford mechanic, all I know is it doesn't line up, I'm hoping all the mesh grilles are the same and there isn't a 2wd and 4wd version, or a special edge version, since I have the edge hood. and for some reason, the mesh grille is the most expensive, go figure.

 

Edge's and FX4's came stock with the mesh grill, you'll be fine.

 

Works for me. Paint the grill shell and it'll be good!
