my point being, he doesnt want to take a terrible engine/truck combination, and make it worse.

regear would allow some bigger tires without too much of a loss of power.... think 33"s with 4.56 gearing?

My 3.0 turns 32s just fine. BL and 33's wouldn't be any worse. He can always regear if he doesn't feel he has enough power.

lol it may feel okay to you, but he really needs good gas milage and all that

and riding in his truck compared to my 4L the difference is huge. he even has the 5spd too. and he's not a huge enthusiast. so im gonna guess he probably wouldnt want to regear.

Your buddy has a great looking truck, I might be biased though, as we have the same color.

You don't see that color on a Ranger often.

Lame excuses lol. I deliver pizza in my truck so I need good gas mileage. Which btw I still get good gas mileage. I have an auto in my truck. I still avg 17-18mpg in city and 20-22 on hwy.
