Dad went out and got new truck
 

A little background on my dad. It's bad when he gets bored. One day Saturday morning my dad and I were out buggin around and I said 'Hey Dad, lets go over to the dealership and look around." "Why?" he asks. "Because we have nothing better to do" I said. so we did. we get over there and start looking around and just for the fun of it and because it'll take up time my dad decided to trade his '03 F-150 Supercrew in on an '03 Explorer(He talked them into doing an even trade too). He has done this on several occasions.

Last night My mom and dad were on their way to Wal-Mart and my dad didn't have anything better to do so he swung into the Ford dealership 'just to look around'. He ended up trading his '07 Sport Trac in on a Fully Loaded '06 F-140 4x4. It's bad when he gets bored.

I really like that F 150. I've been lookin around at ones exactly like the one your dad just got. Mind saying how much it was?

No he is not retired. He has until Feb 2010 and it's Palm Beach County. I live here and they have a house here. The closest dealership and Wal-Mart is in Murphy, NC(we live a mile from the state line). The tag is only a temp tag. It will be getting a GA tag though next week. My mom will be registering it in her name since she is retired she can be a GA resident. Insurance will be cheaper in GA than FL, that's part of the reason.

Dad didn't even have it for 24 hours and the license plate was switched to a the FD plate and had the sticker on.


He told me, but I don't remember. I know my dad said he made them bleed in the dealing. He got every penny out of them possible. My dad loves going and haggling with dealerships.

Ahhhh, I get it now. gotta represent that palm beach county! it's an awesome department

Nice truck! I really like the newer F150s.

his truck changed my opinion on the newer F-150's for the better. His rides a lot nicer than the other 3 I have driven. The 5.4 is the perfect engine for the truck to, the 4.6 just doesn't have the umph for the weight of the truck.

Very nice trucks. Been a fan of that gen of F series since they came out. Never really noticed how small they make Rangers look when they're up close.

I was behind a Ram crewcab at the drivethru today and the thing made my truck feel like an ant next to an elephant.
