Damage Report!

So I decided to hang out with some friends last night and ended up going to Taco Hell afterwards. On the way home I wasn't paying attention to the road (changing songs on my Ipod) and ended up taking down a 30mph speed limit sign. Luckily I didn't get too far off the road because there was a telephone pole just a couple feet away from the sign. All in all I was pretty lucky for what happened, but I'm still pissed at myself for doing it anyways.

On to the pics

Yeah, only thing it did to me was **** me off and scare the crap outta me lol. Now I have to find out how to blend in the paint so I don't have to repaint the whole bedside. But I think I'm going to wait to fix it when the weather gets warmer.

Ouch! thats a whoops. good thing you didn't hit that pole.
There are some really cool guides and videos online about blending paint. from what the painter at work says its not rocket science, but it takes a good eye.

So did you hit it square? Is that the middle of the bumper is dented up? Or was it just glanced off the side?

You got lucky alright. I went through a telephone pole once at 45mph in the passenger seat of my buddies Monte Carlo. It wasn't any fun at all. He's had neck problems and I've had neck and back problems ever since, even though neither of us had to go to the hospital and weren't really hurt.

Yeah defiantly a lesson learned. Glad you didn't get hurt and hopefully you got a little wiser from the experience.

Story Time:
I had a bee in the car with me over the summer. It was like 7am on Sunday. No one else on the main road through town. I'm driving and trying to swat at this thing and usher it out my open window. It goes up to the visor and I look up at it for like 10 seconds. I glance back down and I am half way across the other lane and going straight towards the ditch. Luckily I didn't pull a tard move and cut back to quick and flip. I jerked back into my lane and smashed the crap out of the bee with my bare hand. Problem solved, lesson learned.

It hit the corner of the bumper and marker lights, then just kinda ran it over with the wheels.

Thanks for the concern guys. Probably gonna wait until spring to fix it seeing as I have a bunch of other projects going on right now, and the weather sucks too. Not sure if I want to get the clear corner lenses now. Don't know how good they would look on there.

LOL, i had the same incident except it was while washing the truck last summer. i had my doors open and while vacuuming the bees kept flying in my truck. when i finished i THOUGHT i had gotten them out (i was even trying to vaccum them up). but while siting at a red light i found one was still in the truck - i was getting the funniest looks trying to get that thing out. lmao

OP - sucks about it but atleast now it gives you something do on a nice weekend!

This just hasn't been a good week for me and motorized vehicles. Went out riding snowmobiles last night on the 4+ inches of sleet and freezing rain we got. Went through a field at about 35 mph and the left ski dug in causing the sled to make a severe right turn and threw me off, then barrel rolled after me. Once again I was very lucky, all it did was pull the windshield off and gave me some bruises. I think I need to start staying home at night from now on lol.

I made a MP3 CD for my buddy to play in his car and he ended up t boning a Toyota Camary, I thought I was doing him a favor by making a CD that was all organized and such, just so he wouldn't be looking at his iPod.

It was brutal.

Thanks man. The only thing I could think of while getting thrown off and seeing the sled barrel roll was "Oh **** this is gonna be expensive" lol.
