Do work!! Ranger pics from today...

my friend steve (steev from R-F and RPS) brought his truck over today for a little TLC. we did all 4 ball joints, both tie rod ends and wheel bearings on both sides.with help from alot of PB blaster, a BFH and a couple beers we got it all done about 6 hours with a couple breaks and one break for dinner. not bad for a days work!. just a few pics from the day.

its not that bad, its worse than the IFS to work on but this job went about as well as it could for a truck its age. a broken grease zerk was the biggest issue we had.

That'll teach me to over-tighten them...I just REALLY wanted them both to be facing the same direction!

out by the hub or behind the rotor? I'm wondering about the one out by the hub....the clean brand new lookin' sheet metal thing. lol. My first thought was it's part of a bearing packer tool. But...I don't know those gen3's well enough to know! lol.

not the dust shied shane the big sheet metal thing. that looks like the hub is on so im confused more. and you cant really use one of those packing tools to pack the bearings the way they are on the 3rd gens

I only questioned it because you never know with downey. Could be pullin' a downey moment on us again...

Anyway...I havn't a clue and I'm really curious too. My only guess is some sort of protector of the rotor from getting grease on it while installing hubs. Or it is a dust shield...those wheels are pretty flat so it's possible those'll fit inside the rim. But that's all my guesses. I'll wait for an answer later. lol.

Better shot...the one that shoulda been quoted...
