finally bought one

99 mazda b2500 xcab 4cyl 5spd 2wd 90k miles. Came with an alarm with keyless entry, and a sweet aftermarket shiftknob. So far ive added 2 infiniti 10s with a jbl 500.1 amp and kenwood deck, bricks holding up the sub box.

Immediate future plans include front tints, a windshield sunstrip, and removal of the front plate and bracket.

Down the road maybe a drop and 18s. Also thinking about an intake, but i noticed this damn thing has a MAF, and in my experience aftermarket intakes blow the sensor.

Fordza just sold his Mazda and has his wheels for sale, check out the classifieds, they looked pretty sweet on there.

Another thing i think i want to do is looking at the grille it looks like the one from a 03+ mazda would go right in

has anyone done this?

looks good, as for a intake system, go ahead and get one...wont really mess with the MAF at all.. could always do the MAF mod to when u slap the intake on

whats the mod? The only reason im wary is one of my homies had an 04 corolla with a maf and he put an aem short ram on it and blew like 3 sensors (he aint have to pay for em though cause he just put the stock airbox back in and took it to the dealer under warranty)

edit: just checked ebay ... all the intakes are for 4.0's .... and theres a few for 3.0's but i am not seeing any for the 2.5

dude drop it! other than mine, i havent seen many dropped b series around. mines the only one in my area, so i stand out.

for the intake, just go to autozone, get the MAF adapter and throw a cone filter on that has the heat shield built around it. thats what im running on my b3000 and it works awesome.

if you need any help modded at the Maz, lemme know!

Very Nice Truck! I wish mazda had a 4cyl Extended cab these days, i would have bought one in a heart beat.

Your truck would look hot on some factory 15" or 16" wheels , with some meaty tires... 245/75/16 BFG AT's or something.

i know the oil has been changed its got the sticker on the window from jiffy lube so i only gotta do that at 92k ... how much oil do these things take and what grade ... its gotta be fun changing the oil on these .... my acura was so low that changing the oil was a task

seems like all the car manufacturers are being dumb these days, we get biggger and bigger trucks and then the older ones get better mpg .... plus its only NOW that the big 3 are trippin off gas mileage

Back in the 70s i guess GM was complaning that they wouldnt be able to meet 1975 emmissions standards, so honda took a couple of caprices with 350s and custom designed some heads and intakes for em, and they were pulling 20+ mpg, and meeting emissions with no cats.
