Finally got new tires...

Well, the Wildcats were no longer wild anymore... rather they were lame and well.... balder than Jason Alexander's head...

So, yesterday, I was hanging out with my buddy Scott and he mentioned something to the nature of this... "hey I got to thinking, I have my old set of 33X12.50's on a set of black steelies I 'sold' my buddy but he never paid for em. Well, I'm tired of waiting for him to pay me, so do you want them for $200?" How could I say no, he's running 35's under his Jeep and has no need for his 33's... and well I was gunna jump to a 33 anyway.

So I asked what brand they were- Goodyear MTR's with 70% tread left on em

Had to do Minor trimming to my valence to keep em from rubbing, but they arent too bad.

Pic's-

Yeah you can run up to a 33 on the torsion bar suspension.

He's runnin 33x12.5 with no lift. You have to trim though.

Times a billion on the cleaning. Get that **** cleaned up and slap some tire shine on them and you will look great.

You at least need to clean it once and take some good pics so you have them.

Looks good Chuck.

I woulda cleaned them up, except that I was leading a night run to Slaughterhouse Gulch, so I'll have em cleaned up tomorrow with better pics (sunday as it's saturday morning at 4:43 and I haven't had sleep and busy today)

I'm sitting on stock height, little taller cause I am an FX4, They're stuffed in there pretty good, but surprisingly my only places I rub are the lower parts of the flares and they don't rub that hard. I talked with my buddy Rich, who has a 95 STX on the same size, 33X12.50's, and he said he would help me with what he did to his in pulling the bedsides out a tad bit to give more clearence.

Goodysgotacuda- I'll take pictures here real fast on how they're mounted, I have to go through and re-wire them pretty quick, so when I do I'll take pics. It's pretty straight forward so...

It needs a lift, but the price of a lift is whats got me right now in a bind... So, i'll more than likely go with this option- 1.5" Chevy shackles and a small torsion twist. It'll have a rake, but in the end it'll look clean. I'm not a hackjob type... i'm a perfectionist.

Verdict on the tires wheeling them... they kick ***.

You don't sit any higher than a regular XLT 4x4 in stock form.

Stock trucks came with 31's and he know has 33's. How is he not sitting higher.

Oh, for the record... quote this, sticky this, sig it... I don't care...

I'm not in any way shape or form copying Shane. As much as I like the look of Shane's truck, it's not the look I want for my truck. I have a few idea's I'm bouncing back and forth on with the truck. But, just so no pre-concieved notions and such continue, it just happens Shane and I have the same tires, rims, and color truck.

It needs a lift desperately.... but hey I'm happy with it now!

What about different bars F vs #1, sagged over time? I dunno, just a thought. Weren't some rangers equipped with either 2" or 2-5/16" blocks depending on trim level or years? Not arguing just thinking.
