Goodbye ranger.....

03 King Ranch F150 4x4. 5.4 fully loaded etc. I am in love with it. Not the nice shiny new truck I wanted, but this makes financial sense. And it's a huge upgrade over the ranger. Not to mention it's in great shape.

NICE. Never thought id see the day you got rid of your ranger.

I wanted a King Ranch so bad but im still searching.

That gen king ranch was a deal breaker for me being torsion bar so I stuck to either 04-08 F150 King Ranch but could never agree on a price because every dealer refused to work with me over them even ones in not that great of shape.

I obviously still have the 90 F250 diesel with 45,000 miles I picked up but if I get hired for the job im interviewing for and start work here soon I plan to add an 05-07 King Ranch 350 sometime before the year ends. Yeah I know 6.0, but I will have a 2nd vehicle in case it goes down and needs work.

Another great Ranger gone, hopefully the next owner treats it well.

I hope you like the truck, not my style, but to each his own.

I can't harp on ya too much though, I want a fullsize as well. Although the Ranger will stay

Thanks man! Yeah not stoked to still have torsion bars, but I'll deal. The ride is a ton better than the ranger already.

I looked at an 08 f150 king ranch TWO wheel drive a few months ago. Had almost 200k on it, and they still wanted 23k. Hell no.

At least around here, you don't see many of this gen king ranch. When I found this one, and as clean as it is, I couldn't say no.

Yep, I'll miss it. But it's for the best. I've grown up a bit and it's time my truck did too lol

I def know what you mean on the price, and exactly why I don't have an 04-08 to this day and probably never will. If im going to spend that kind of good money its going to be an 05-07 250/350 king ranch, crew cab, long bed, 4x4; which like mentioned I can hopefully pick up sometime this year.

As far as forums for your truck

F150forum.com

F150online.com

Ford-trucks.com

/ thread lol.

But really they are where its at, and I even frequent them all on a regular basis just to keep up on my knowledge of everything. They are similar to this site and the other rangers sites.

There isn't necessarily one thats better than the others, just some like one better than the others or certain gen's or questions are answered more on one forum, or one gets more activity; but they all are good!

Glad you're happy with the purchase. I'm sure you'll miss the Ranger a bit. I remember when it was stock and you wheeled it pretty hard.

Love those interior seats. King Ranch seats FTW! But the rest of that interior is so UGLY. Too bulky IMO.

Whatre your plans for it?

Haha the interior is hideous, but I don't think it's any worse than the ranger interior to be honest.

Plans include cranking the tbars to level it out. intake/tune/exhaust, when the nittos are worn i'll probably get new wheels n tires. If I ever find a good deal on a suspension lift, I might go that route. I found a 4" for 1k. I'm sure I could find a used one for cheaper. The aftermarket seems pretty decent on these trucks compared to the rangers

Reading up, it looks like PHP custom tune on an Edge CS tuner is the way to go..

But if I go canned tune, I will probably stick with an edge either way.

Looks nice but I really don't like those old style 150s. Way to curvy for my taste. Anyways, Congrats on the new truck!

^Thanks bud. I don't care near as much for the single cab and supercab. Unless done up right. But the supercrew gives me a chubby for some reason. Idk why lol

TODAY, I leveled the front end (Good ole torsion bars) replaced the bulbs in the step bars, and straight piped it. Sounds so damn sexy. I've been wanting a V8 for a LONG time lol
