got some new stuff today.

i traded two of my old bfg's that were almost bald for the limited slip, they had about 15% tread left.
i guess it came out of a mustang that only had 40k on it and the guy put a bigger engine in it and a 31spline 8.8, who knows.

im going to leave it up to people on here to figure out what else is new.

sorry for the crappy pictures, i left my camera at my friends.

the limited slip is going to be temp till i get money for a real locker, i still have to take it apart and see if its going to need new clutches.

You can't really "check" the clutches. I would rebuild the L/S before putting it in; parts for the rebuild will run you about $50. IMO it would be worth it not to have to pull it back out.

Did that L/S set outside for a while? I have never seen a rusted one that came straight out of a diff.

My '97 didn't have a tone ring for ABS on it.

It will work, but his ABS wont work. ABS sucks anyways.

Why would you say ABS sucks? I have driven a truck w/o RABS and it was a nightmare in the rain, upon braking you never knew when the wheels were going to lock up.

yup, pop the ring gear off and tap the tone ring off the old carrier. looks like that L/S carrier already has the notch for the locating tooth on the ring, so you should be good to go.

i have put a tone ring on older carriers before, too. just grind a notch and the older units will accept a tone ring as well.
